Fridays for Future crowds in Glasgow during COP26

Fridays for Future Climate Strike

Some members of our team, Jake, Sue and Lauren, attended the Fridays For Future strike on November 5th in Glasgow.

“I’ve learnt more here today than during the time in the official conference green zone. Nothing short of transformational change is required to address the Climate Crisis. People across the world have suffered – and continue to suffer – for too long. We, the people, have the capability and responsibility to make the hasty changes required, and we must continue to hold our leaders to account, coming out on the streets in protest.” – Jake

It was amazing to see thousands of people out on the streets striking for climate justice. There were speakers from all over the world, from Amazonian Indigenous Peoples to Greta Thunberg.

The message is clear: we have to support the people on the front line of the Climate Emergency.  Those human beings and their precious, beautiful land is being taken away and exploited. For what? Greed and money. For fossil fuels that are no longer needed to power our world. The injustice has to stop and that is why hundreds of thousands took to the streets to demand real change and justice for those who face oppression and are losing their lives every single day.
