Richmond Triumphs Over Green Gazelles

September 8, 2024 – Richmond Athletic Ground, London, UK

Richmond Rugby Club secured an impressive victory over the Green Gazelles in a tightly contested match at The Big Green Clash, which not only entertained rugby fans but also raised significant awareness for earth-caring causes. The match, hosted at Richmond Athletic Ground, was the centrepiece of a larger charity event aimed at supporting environmental initiatives under the slogan “Kick Climate Change Into Touch.”

Beyond the match, the event featured the Sports Climate Summit with influential speakers such as Heather Mills, Katie Strong, Luke Sherriff, and Claire Poole, discussing the role of sports in the fight against climate change. An Eco Village and family-friendly entertainment drew in a crowd of over 100 organisations and numerous spectators, making it a memorable and impactful day.

Richmond’s victory will resonate as a key highlight of The Big Green Clash, furthering the cause of environmental sustainability through the sport of rugby.
