We are blessed to have so many skills donated by an incredibly talented bunch of volunteers. Bethany Martin is one of them. She’s an amazing designer and along with terrific creative input from fellow designer, Anna Twells, Word Forest recently launched a range of ethical, 100% organic cotton, vegan-friendly tee-shirts.
On Saturday morning, Bethany was interviewed by BBC Northampton’s John Griff. She explained – rather brilliantly – why we’re so passionate about protecting our planet and why our mission for reforesting Kenya is so important. They also discussed why the circular economy is vital in the fashion industry and what Word Forest is doing to reinforce that important message.
“Our Remill tee-shirts embrace the circular economy with open arms!” explains ethical trustee, Rikey Austin.
If you buy a tee-shirt from our #TreeMendUs range, wear it and love it to bits, once it has reached the end of its life, you can send it back to our suppliers and they’ll break it down and re-spin it into new fabric! It doesn’t get much more circular than that.
